Help ensure a legacy of hope.

For over sixty-five years, St. Joseph Center for Special Learning has been a beacon for special needs education and services in Schuylkill County and beyond. As we continue to experience ongoing growth in enrollment, reputation, and success, we are excited to have had the opportunity to move to the St. Ambrose campus (Schuylkill Haven, PA) this summer. With expanded capacity comes greater impact in the community.

To ensure St. Joseph Center for Special Learning will have the opportunity to reach more individuals that would benefit from the services we offer, we are looking to you for support and are launching a community-wide relocation and renovation campaign.

We are asking for the community’s passion and effort in helping us reach our goal in this campaign and advance the mission of St. Joseph Center for Special Learning.

Your gift will impact their future and change lives forever.

THE PLAN

  • WHAT: The St. Joseph Center Relocation and Renovation Campaign seeks to raise required funds needed to support the move of St. Joseph Center to our new campus and the necessary renovations. This project will ensure a legacy of hope is established, assuring our SJC families will have access to the best, most advanced special education programs available for years to come. This transition will provide:
    • Additional and enhanced classrooms
    • A defined space for all therapy programs
    • A gymnasium/hall for physical activities and social gatherings
    • Access to celebrate Mass in St. Ambrose Church
    • Many additional enhancements to ensure an all-accessible campus
  • WHY: St. Joseph Center for Special Learning has established a vision of providing top notch special education and services to all children and adults with special needs under the grace, direction, and love of our heavenly Father. Over the past few years, SJC’s reputation and success has grown incredibly throughout the region. Although these factors have increased interest and enrollment, the size of our building proved to be a challenge. To assure St. Joseph Center’s future and reach can expand and benefit more children and adults, the decision was made to move to the St. Ambrose campus.
  • HOW: While the St. Ambrose campus is larger and more accessible, there are several renovations and upgrades needed. Once completed, the result will be a highly functional Special Learning Center that strategically positions us to expand our enrollment and services to those that require it most. As we continue to settle into this campaign, we need the help of partners like you. Your gift will directly impact their future. This is a very positive development that will help maintain and increase our educational effectiveness for our students and adults, enabling them to reach their maximum potential and lead dignified and meaningful lives.

Today, we're inviting you to transform a life through the St. Joseph Center Relocation and Renovation Campaign.

We are inspired and grateful for the generosity of support we have received so far from all our wonderful donors, especially our leadership gifts from: The Friends & Family of James Huebner, The Brian Rich Family, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Herring Sr., and Miller Bros Construction, Inc.
